gmcr installs our 11th solar array
Good news! Last year, we installed the new solar array at The Divine Mercy RC Primary School.

Latest solar performance from our existing sites
Our existing installations are continuing to perform well. Meter readings taken at the end of December indicate generation of 66MWh for the last quarter of 2025, enough to make over 3 million cups of tea!
the gmcr community fund competition
We’re thrilled to announce that we have launched a solar panel competition to help local communities benefit from the low carbon, low cost electricity provided by solar panels.
Using funding from our GMCR Community Fund, we’re inviting charities to apply for up to £10,000 towards the purchase and installation of solar panels on their building.
The competition is open to charities in Greater Manchester. Applicants must have a quote from an MCS accredited solar PV installer. Applicants do not need to own the building to apply but must have access to their energy use data and be able to show the building owner’s permission. Find the Terms and Conditions and application form on our website.
Please help us make this competition a success! Share it on social media and let your local charities know about the opportunity.
